MONTANA GRIZZLY SCHOLARSHIP ASSOCIATION

Dear Griz Nation:

The UM Cheer Team is calling on your support! 

Currently, our team has 25 members, the largest team the school has ever had. We currently have the longest season of any student-athlete running from late July all the way until mid April. We love cheering at all home football, basketball, and volleyball games in addition to our 3 practices per week, mandatory weight lifting, student hours, and many hours of volunteer work we do. Most importantly we serve as ambassadors of Grizzly Athletics and the university.

Although our program is greatly supported by the athletic department, we rely heavily on being self-funded. We raise money to pay for our practice gear, warm weather gear, shoes, football travel and so much more.

This is an extremely exciting time for the UM Cheer Team and we need all the support we can get to keep pushing our program to be the best it can be. Thank you for your support!

What is my gift used for?

Every year the UM Cheer Team has costs that they are required to cover such as practice equipment, team uniforms and travel to away games. This year it will cost around $4,000 per Cheer Team member:

  • $250 – Cold weather gear
  • $1,200 – Practice gear and uniforms
  • $2,500 – Travel to away football games
